Not feeling well, so I colored the sketch from yesterday.
Just wanted to draw some eyecandy for various persuasions.
…and my characters are now pretty much hipsters.
NOBODY KNOWS ABOUT THEM BECAUSE THAT”D BE TOO MAINSTREAM.
Rare scene: James hurt, rather badly.
Maybe I was a little too annoyed by his refusal to go Disney.
Trying to draw Disney style is EFFING HARD. Either that, or I seriously suck. >_<
So, the awesome Swank Kat (seriously, she’s awesome, I totally recommend her as a commission artist and an all around awesome person), suggested I draw Jess and James in the Disney style. Man, that was harder than I expected, and I’m not really sure I pulled it off, but it was a fun challenge, nonetheless…
Hope to color them this weekend, but for now, here’s the sketches.

Speaking of relationships, Jess and James never fail to surprise me. Just when I’ve figured out which one is the ‘mature one’ of the relationship, they surprise me.
I cannot thank @swankkat enough for taking on my commission- because getting to see them through another’s eyes always makes me see yet another side of them.
One can only draw for so long in someone else’s style before you crack and go back to your own. James and Jess, as they are currently.
